Thank you, Bob! The midterm serenity prayer is great!

Well said, Bob. Remind us of the title of your nonfiction book.

I'm reading Sinclair Lewis's "It Can't Happen Here." I believe that Lewis knew Trump and Landry.

Lovely graceful prayer Bob!

Thank you!

Courage, Bob, informing the public as best I can of the deeply demented and boundlessly insane Donald Trump is what this Democrat does, day in and day out, by sharing with scores of people the news of the ongoing destruction of America and what needs to be done to end it and rebuilding our democracy. So let's get on with it!

Your serenity prayer is as powerful and life enriching as Brady’s sermon this morning. Will print and read again and again.

May I be bold and recommend another fiction choice to your stack? I just finished an Elizabeth Strout novel, The Things We Never Say. Really, really good.

Thanks! And I love Strout!!

With your blessing I plan to print the prayer out and put it with my Bible for daily encouragement in this dark time.

Yes, please use it. I’m happy you find it helpful!!

Great Prayer! I admit I am a fan of Woodrow and Gus' teaching points and often think and sometime repeat, " He was rude, I do not tolerate rudeness" after beating the daylights out of a smart ass....Peace is a great word for all. I have President Carter's message on my desk. IMAGINE PEACE. and HONORABLECOMMONDEFENCE, thanks

Thank you Bob. Luckily I don't watch TV at all anymore & have taken up some steps you mentioned here. But there are more I need to take. Finally started reading fiction again. But I have to be careful with some things as so much of my own academic & volunteer work can make me sad & frustrated as it's tied to state politics.

Oh! I need that prayer. I need to look into the postcard program.

Good wisdom, Bob. Thanks!

One thing I would encourage folks to do is join the ACLU. It helps me feel better knowing that there are people fighting for the right things even when I am exhausted.
