Yes, the chaos in Minneapolis is Trump’s dress rehearsal for disrupting the midterm election. If he gets away with it there, he going to move to other blue cities and states and is already in Maine. Remember Trump didn’t want to leave the Oval Office in Jan. 2021. After the crimes he and his regime have committed already, he will not want to leave on Jan. 20, 2029

I’m convinced that if a Republican isn’t elected in 2028, Trump will on January 20th be on Faux Air Force One, flying to the Middle East where he would be welcomed for an extremely extended vacation and lots of golf

I replied to a friend's rant earlier, and I'll expand a bit here:

We are at that point in the (science fiction/dystopian) novel where the Good Guys have reached the limit, they are ready to abandon reason and rebel against the Evil Powers. They know well what awaits if they fail; they are ready to give it their all. Our heroes are just not quite sure how to start...

Scary thought: Suppose this is all a part of 'their' plan, to kill enough innocent people so that we rise up and rebel, so that elections are canceled (seriously, can they do that?) martial law is declared, and more people die.

I feel like I'm living out part of the plot line from "The Handmaid's Tale." I already feel as though I've lost all I'd looked forward to having as an oldster.

Killing people isn’t part of the plan; to them it’s a byproduct. They expected pushback, and they have gotten it. Could he declare a state of emergency in blue states and suspend elections? Yes. A national state of emergency would require a massive insurrection, or us being at war.

He’d unify enough Republicans and Democrats in Congress to take action, and I can’t see even this SCOTUS going along with an open power grab. He’s also depending on an American military that will kill Americans on home soil.

We the People are standing up and we will prevail. My Brother, a retired SGM, at the last stage of Dementia, lives in Minn., with all of his family taking care of him. His German Wife passed recently....., YES I am outraged, but confident we will fix this outrage. The ignorant rants by trump/miller/noem/bovino/ are dangerous only because some of us are addicted to ourselves to admit our ignorance and/or our greed. Thus I agree it will be up to ALL OF US HONORABLBECOMMONDEFENCE!! thanks

It has become glib to use the phrase in so many cases, but not this one: In this fight, we are are Minneapolitans.

I am not sure how ecumentical it is but I assume it is a united effort. I can say that I am proud of the Episcopal Church in this fight, helping citizens in need and taking to the streets in organized protest, with lots of support from aroubnd the country and especially the national churches leadership in broad support.

En route to MPLS as we speak. My voice is only a small, singular one….combined with thousands more, it becomes an unstoppable bulwark.
