What insurrection? I keep hearing you guys use that word, but I don’t believe a single person has been charged with it.

It is a powerful narrative tho. Imagine being able to simply label your political opponents insurrectionists, removing them from ballots/offices, and never having to go thru massive inconvenience of elections ever again.

Seeing as the Biden administration has had numerous opportunities to bring charges of insurrection but hasn’t suggest there was no insurrection. To claim there was is therefore disinformation.

As a U.S. Congressman from Louisiana, Landry swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies. He is a deplorable power-hungry weasel with an ego and dearth of ethis and honor that equal Trump’s.

Sounds like I don’t agree with Landry’s views, or are a fan of much of his behavior post election, but I fail to see how exploring the legal avenues to question election results is an attempt at insurrection. We can condemn his behavior (and it looks like we should at least I think so) but legally, moving this into “insurrectionists” seems difficult from what’s laid out here

I do not believe there is any reason to call that protest an insurrection. My opinion. No proof, no reason, no actions. I do believe that anyone who states their own opinion, should be heard. It is not right to disqualify them because they do not agree with your opinion. The democrats have been given the chance to unite us as promised. They did not. So, anyone from the Republican side should have the same chance, Trump, Haley or even DeSantos, have the right to try. I pray we give everyone with opinions the chance to state them. We are being shut out because of incorrect reasons (opinions). That is MY OPINION.

All I can say is take it up with the people who wrote and ratified the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. People who are 30 years old cannot run for president. Someone born in Canada cannot run for president. In the same way, people who try to overthrow the US government cannot run for president.

The Supreme Court will have to decide this. I believe the CO ruling is on hold while an appeal is made by the Trump campaign. Given that ballots have to be prepared ahead of time, I expect Trump to be on the ballot in CO. The Supreme Court could just slow walk this and then we made the matter moot.
