The one thing which MTG has said with which I agree is that, if we are going to scrutinize and hold one member of Congress accountable for alleged and actual transgressions, we should be willing to hold them all to that same standard. She even included herself. Both Kennedy and Johnson claim to be constitutional experts, but they rarely exhibit it. Johnson is the kind of Christian who drives people away from, not toward, organized religion and he is in no position to be teaching any Gospel but his own. So Marjorie Taylor Greene, if nothing else, in this case, is less hypocritical than either of these guys. That said, I wouldn't vote for any of them for anything.
Ask them why drill, drill, is a policy. Ask them how there is nothing to be done about the banning of the AR-15. Because this is a policy. Nothing they will do. When 70 to 80 percent of the people ask for sensible gun laws, and end to endless wars, clean air and water resource protection. National health care and jobs protection like other democratic nations have? It means that the oligarchs want it this way. No thing they will do. Let's do them.
I suspect we all are too disturbed by the actions of people like Johnson/ Kennedy so of course I agree with Mr. Winham. The kicker here is we forget, old rules still apply, " He who has the "gold" makes the rule". The other rule is never argue " religion, sex nor politics...." I have no other comment other than Susan and I are sad because our oldest cat, Annie, passed today. She was almost 16. WE are all animals, according to Jimmy Buffet, and there was not one ounce of hate in her being. Keep learning and keep loving. ron thompson
I have been thinking almost the same thing. I find Johnson and Kennedy enemies of honesty, women, minorities, and the ideals established in the Declaration of Independence. I find Clay Higgins an idiot.
A great majority of politicians only talk the talk about the faith that they proclaim on Sunday morning. However, there is Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky who recently answered a question on Face the Nation why he vetoed proposed legislation that would discriminate against transgender youth in his state by saying and by proclaiming “That’s my faith, where I’m taught that all children are children of God and I wanted to stick up for children who were being picked on.”
Johnson is a Christian Dominionist dressed in the sheep’s clothing of a true follower. Jesus warning about where the true kingdom is —“My kingdom is not of this world” is a verse he skipped over in Bible class. He is all about installing an aberration of Jesus’ message in the form of a theocracy where Christian inspiration are blended with draconian Deuteronomy edicts are forced on a populace as secular law.

I believe Johnson, Kennedy & their ilk are still in the Old Testament & haven’t read the New Testament yet!

Sorry about Annie. Our cats are our children and we love them and their innocence.

It's a true shame there are not more like him. Just saw him last week on Face the Nation and he radiates honesty.
