What a disappointing man, doctor, US Senator. “I could have been a contender!” said someone . And all for a madman and his crew of insane clowns .

He’s a fool. Much of the medical establishment in Baton Rouge is disgusted by him. It’s disgusting and vile that he sold himself.

There was a choice to keep more humans alive and healthy and there was a choice to clutch his hands around power a little longer. What is power worth when you reign over graves of preventable deaths?

sad to see someone like cassidy lose creditability like this. If my memory is right he used to be a hepatitis doc at the old ekl in br? I'm very disappointed in cassidy.

He sold his integrity, his reputation, his conscience for a seat in Congress.

As someone once said, “Have you no decency, sir?”

Sad to see how power — and threats to losing it — can corrupt an intelligent man who once was a very caring physician. I remember how impressed my son was while during a clinical rotation with Dr Cassidy during medical school. At the time, many health providers were very concerned about contracting AIDS from patients. My son saw Dr Cassidy interact with AIDS patients in a compassionate and caring manner without apprehension.

I saw Dr Cassidy one time as a patient after an abnormal test result related to liver function. He took time to relieve my concerns and provided explanations.

Yet, power has corrupted him to the point of now making very bad decisions for public health.

One of the legacies of a liberal arts education is a trove of wisdom from diverse sources. Bill Cassidy brings to mind Polonius' advice to Laertes: "This above all, to thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man" from HAMLET. Cassidy, among so many others, ignored the wisdom of the bard. He has not been true to himself, his patients, his students, or his constituents. This whole awful situation truly is a tragedy all the way around.

Any respect I had for Cassidy is long gone-nothing but disgust for a coward.

Nothing can excuse his actions. He and John Neely Kennedy both need to go to the ash heap of history.

The other doctor - Phlegming, the other horrendous medical doctor in the race - will have the backing of the 🍊💩stain.

Hell now the horrendous State Doc given to us by Landry Fud - Ralph “Opioid Mectin” may want the job too.

Since Cassidy granted a criminally incompetent a “license” to practice medicine, his medical license should be revoked!

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Cassidy sold his soul to the devil - and for what? His legacy is tarnished forever. Our country has no true statesmen anymore.
