Should it be "Harris" at the end of this sentence?
"If MAGA people gobble up lies about FEMA money intended for North Carolina flood victims being sent to illegal immigrants, they can be misled to believe that nefarious federal government officials — the “Deep State” Trump talks about — are also preparing to steal votes from Trump and give them to Biden."
I am still amazed how many people my wife and I know that come to both of us. I told her the other night that it just really “mystifies” (a better word than I actually used) me how she and I are the two main people that others come to. I started “saying” (once again, substitute word) about why these people cannot or will not read, research on their own.
She then reminded me: “It is you they normally come to because I’m not as patient sometimes, you are not patient afterwards”. And she reminded me of a mutual friend that is GOP.
I was taking to this friend a couple years ago about how out political leaders are bought and paid for because of Citizens United, and she knew that but she did not know that it has been going on for even longer than that. I told her I would buy her a book but only if she read it. She agreed to read it and I bought her Jane Mayer’s Dark Money, didn’t want her to have mine since it is marked up like a college textbook. She said she would read but it was “a big book” 🤦♂️.
She didn’t.
Of course she didn’t.
She said it was because when she comes home from work the last thing she wants to do is read something that frustrates her or something she needs to put a lot of focus on.
I was “upset” (again, wording) with her. My wife said “hey, that’s why comes to you and I, so she doesn’t have to read, but it’s better than her going to faux”.
I sent our friend something the other day reminding her that she has two daughters, two grandsons, one granddaughter and asked what she really wants for them. She really appreciated it and actually typed back: “I’m not completely stupid!”, which means she may be voting Harris.
Then two hours later she sent me another text:
“What are your thoughts on our government telling the people in North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee that they can only help them with $750, but you have to apply online.” I told I hadn’t heard about it, researched it in google for 3 whole minutes and found a mountain of truth to dispel 🍊💩’s lies and sent to her.
I also sent the “Hurricane Helene: Rumor Response” link the next day.
She replied: “… don’t believe everything on social media … research …Thanks … I still feel no one can be trusted.”

Good catch. Thank you!!
The lies about Hurricane Helene aid going to non-citizens is infuriating. All responsible people need to call these lies out for what they are.

You are doing the Lord’s work!
