I particularly like your final point. It also wouldn't hurt if he could get the message out that he can't be bought. The Democratic party needs to get full force behind him, but not make it Dems vs. Repubs, but rather what is good for our country and our state - the party has let us down in the past and I am holding on to membership by a thread. I hope Davis has a shot and will definitely vote for him. He will be a true citizen legislator who understands our needs. As Nancy Noone Broussard's comment emphasizes WE HAVE TO VOTE. Giving up, as too many seem to have done, is NOT the answer to our problems.

Turnout, turnout, turnout!!

I applaud Davis for having the courage to run. I voted for him and will continue to support him. Letlow’s acceptance of Trump’s endorsement means that she accepts Jan. 6, the murder of Goode and Pretti, Trump’s earning over 2,000 million dollars last year, etc. When will Louisiana voters quit drinking the Trump Kool-Aid?

I have heard Davis speak. He is a very compelling speaker, and he speaks directly to an attentive audience. I, too, think he has a very good chance of winning this election

He can win.. We have to go forward knowing that. It is time for everyone to get the word out.. He can. We have to .

I agree with what you wrote, here, Bob, and have a similar view about Lauren Jewett for Congress against Scalise.

I really like when you compared him to when John Bel surprised the voters and won. I predicted the same on June 29- we can do this

I like this guy and I feel the tide is rising for a new face free of slime and corruption.

Dems need to get Moving!

Davis gas my support and my voice.

The Key is a black voter turn out 80%+. If accomplished, 25% white vote for Mr Davis will win it. Unfortunately, historically, the black voter turn out has not been close to 80%.

It really just needs to be equal or a little more to the white turnout if you can get 20-25% of the white votes.

Great inspirational messages! I grew up in Holly Ridge, Richland Parish, and Tensas Parish and Lake Bruin. Jamie Davis WILL do what is "good for our country", not Widow Letlow/trump. Thus, I agree with Mr. Winham. thanks

Somehow I missed this until this morning. Sometimes we get too politically smart and write candidates off. Sometimes we get tired of trying and losing. There is a long list of reasons to shrug shoulders and wait for the perfect timing and perfectly placed candidate. We cannot do that with Jamie. We need to give and go all out. Put in negative terms for the long term we need to use this opportunity to rally Black votes as well as to hammer away at Landry and Trump, steadily bring them and their crowd down. Now, not waiting for pundits to tell us about it, doing it.
